My five year old son begs for food every fifteen minutes. No lie. The boy is a bottomless pit. So, in an effort to fill him up with protein, I started adding peanut butter to his snacks, but he doesn’t really like peanut butter on crackers and will not eat it directly from the spoon.
Since he loves quesadillas, I thought I could tempt him with a snack wrap.
These wraps come together quickly and are a delicious but healthy treat for snack or lunch. The children can even help prepare the Apple Raisin Snack Wraps by spreading the peanut butter, sprinkling the raisins and apples, and rolling the tortilla.
Other great filling could include mashed bananas, marshmallows, chopped nuts, greek yogurt, grilled chicken, shredded carrots, or chocolate chips.
Apple Raisin Snack Wraps
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 apple diced
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 4 tablespoons peanut butter
- Spread each tortilla with peanut butter.
- Sprinkle apples and raisins from the middle to one edge.
- Roll the wrap from the edge with apples and raisins towards the side with only peanut butter. The peanut butter helps hold the wrap closed.
