Blueberry Peach Oatmeal Smoothie

January 7, 2015 by Tabitha 2 Comments

I am not a huge fan of breakfast for one simple reason… time.

Preparing a nutritious and filling breakfast takes time and I hit the floor running already. The last thing I want is to add something else to my list of things to do.

Yum. The perfect grab and go breakfast.

When I gave myself the 5 Days of Oatmeal Breakfast Challenge, I decided to try oats in a smoothie. The results were a simply breakfast that kept me full until lunch.

I had enough to share, but since I was the only one home, I placed the leftovers in an ice cube container to freeze for later.

Yum. The perfect grab and go breakfast. Blueberry Peach Oatmeal Smoothie

The best kind of breakfast on the run! This blueberry peach oatmeal smoothie is high in antioxidants and delicious too.

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, frozen
  • 1/2 cup sliced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seed
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • about 2 cups milk, according to personal preference

Place all ingredients in a blender, starting with a little milk at a time, and liquify. Add more milk until you reach the consistency you prefer.
