Who knew there were so many ways to enjoy Diet Dr Pepper?! Whether you want your refreshment straight from the can or made into something sinfully delicious, pick up Diet Dr Pepper at Walmart to keep handing throughout the season.
Summer is hot! And in the afternoon when my energy starts to waver, I need a special treat.
I slip away from the kids for a little mom-time and make a Diet Dr Pepper Float.
Place two healthy scoops of vanilla ice cream (or frozen yogurt) in a glass and get ready to make the magic happen.
Give the cap on a bottle of Diet Dr Pepper a twist… There is something so promising about that hiss. It’s like a sweet kiss whispered into the air.
Pour the Diet Dr Pepper into the glass.
Whether you pour directly over the ice cream or aim for the side of the glass, just express your personal style.
My choice? I like to see that foam grow into a huge head so I pour directly in the middle over the ice cream.
Maybe it is a little childish to play with my food, but Diet Dr Pepper reminds me of so many things. Like how my dad always said that you had to drink Dr Pepper in the morning. Every time we would travel and grab something for breakfast, he ordered a steak biscuit and Dr Pepper.
Or the cake my mother would make with Dr Pepper. So rich and decadent that you needed a scoop of ice cream to cut the sweetness.
I might be older now and prefer Diet Dr Pepper over the original, but the memories remain.
